Data Integration

Today I already wrote about my job. A little bit more...will serve as a set up to a joke probably only IT experts and/or Star Trek fans are going to find funny, but here goes anyway.

I'm a functional designer for the System Integration team of our organization. Basically, I design software for transportation of data and information between different applications within the organization.

Now the joke, or rather retelling of one particular small, not that interesting, event.

Yesterday, at work, I was watching some Brent Spiner pictures when my manager returned to his desk. He has to approach from behind me to get to his own desk and can see what's on my screen. He saw I was watching Brent pictures and he said: "Ah, you're doing Data Integration!"

It still makes me laugh. It made Owen laugh (friend and fellow IT specialist).
